One of Melbourne’s largest infill sites, the 16.5ha former Amcor paper mill site in Alphington will be a new suburb of 2,500 dwellings featuring a neighbourhood activity centre and retail hub. Alpha Partners together with Glenvill purchased the site just 6.5km from Melb CBD with excellent access to transport, parks and the Yarra River.
Alpha’s project The Village Alphington will include a Coles supermarket, a mini-major supermarket, specialty retail, gym, medical centre, childcare, office space and residential apartments. Alpha’s vision is to create a new community hub for Alphington and the project will also include a new community centre and a potential primary school.
Alpha together with its partners developed the new Business Park at 40 Coombes Road which is at the entrance to the town of Torquay on the Surf Coast Highway in Victoria. A successful development on 25 ha included land sales to Bunnings, Reece and RACV amongst others. The project involved land rezoning, subdivision, road construction and services installation as well as sales of serviced lots.
A boutique 4-storey office building with potential for future development – 1 Palmerston Crescent, South Melbourne was purchased jointly with JAK Investment Group. With a new 10-year lease with a single tenant for the entire building, Alpha refurbished the building and improved the asset value which it sold after two years.
